So, how can you achieve whiter teeth? We’ve already mentioned the necessity of regular check-ups and cleans to maintaining white teeth, but we also offer various ways to increase tooth whiteness, including chemical whitening and cosmetic dentistry.
Thornton Dental offers three whitening solutions. In-chair whitening is almost instantaneous, while our at-home kits take about two weeks.
In-chair whitening uses whitening peroxide, activated by shining a special light, and is treatment is complete within two hours.
We also offer Zoom Teeth Whitening Solutions, which uses high strength peroxide activated by shining an LED light in a 1-hour treatment.
The results of these procedures can be maintained and enhance either byat-home whitening, or through additional bleaching procedures.
At-home whitening begins with upper and lower moulds of your teeth which are used to make custom-fitted bleaching trays.
Once you receive the trays you fill them with whitening gel daily, whenever convenient in your schedule, and apply them for the period of time we recommend.
This is repeated daily or nightly over a few weeks.
While at-home whitening might not seem as convenient as in-office whitening, it does have three advantages:
